A brief biography of the singer/songwriter Alan Pownall

Early Career

After studying Art in Italy, Pownall moved to London to concentrate on his music career. Alan was previously in a band named 'Sex Face' along with a member of Mumford and Sons.

Break

After meeting Adele at a gig, Alan Pownall contacted her and was offered a place in the backing singers at her debut tour. Proceeding this, Alan was interviewed by Fern Cotton on BBC Radio 1 when his track 'Chasing Time' was first played.

Releases

Pownall's record company Mercury Records released his debut album True Love Stories. One of his most well known songs 'Colourful Day' which featured in an episode soundtrack of hit secondary school based drama Waterloo Road on BBC 1 during 2011.
