A sombre looking Cheryl Cole made her first public appearance since the split on February 24th as she left London and flew out to Denmark.

Her only other public appearance was last Friday when she attended a Lady GaGa concert. Cheryl has agreed to attend counselling sessions with her errant husband, Ashley, who is currently in France receiving medical treatment.

A source close to the couple told the Daily Mail: ‘Cheryl has agreed to see a counsellor with Ashley to hear his issues. She think he deserves to be heard and understands how he could think that she let him down as a wife.In essence, she is starting to accept his claim that it is not solely his fault their marriage collapsed.’

Still managing to look glam, Miss Cole, was dressed in a stylish pair of black skinny jeans, a grey T-shirt and WAGtastic sunglasses, the X Factor judge refused to answer questions as she rushed through Heathrow.

The 26-year-old is heading to Copenhagen, where she is due to perform on the Danish version of The X Factor tomorrow night.

Despite her personal turmoil, the singer has decided the show must go on and is fulfilling her commitment to perform in Denmark, she also thinks it is important that she makes a name for herself throughout the rest of Europe.

Aside from their 2003 cover of Eighties track ‘Jump’ for the Love Actually soundtrack, Girls Aloud’s biggest hit in Europe has been ‘Something Kinda Ooh’ hitting number 9 in the Romanian charts four years ago.

Meanwhile Cheryl’s only solo single in Denmark so far has been her debut track ‘Fight For This Love’, which reached a disappointing 29.

No doubt her fans will be waiting to see if she then goes on to join Ashley in the south of France for crisis talks over their broken marriage.
