There’s no big hype surrounding Avril Lavigne, no fifty-person entourage, and no celebrity brawl hanging over her head. Avril’s one of the best voices in rock music or pop, depending on your opinion, combined with one of the best attitudes. Lavigne’s outrageous comments have earned this beautiful Canadian star the reputation of being one of pop music’s most outspoken young artists.
Although we don’t see why it is necessary, Avril’s constantly set to prove the music industry that she is not just another pretty face, Her last album ‘THE BEST DAMN THING’ successfully documented her growth like other previous albums of her, into a young woman now, awakening to her sexuality and a successful pop star, unafraid to exploit it.
• Avril Lavigne’s first major appearance on a live stage was with a country superstar Shania Twain, after Avril beat out 5,000 other kids to win a singing contest on the radio.
• In the year 2002, when Avril was 17, she became the youngest female artist ever to have a #1 album in the United Kingdom.
• Avril Lavigne’s debut album ‘LET GO’ got her eight Grammy nominations including nods in the Best New Artist and Song of the Year categories.
• Lavigne’s hit single ‘Sk8er Boi’ is supposedly heading to the big screen ~ Paramount Pictures has optioned the song anf hired hit TV show ER producer David Zebel to adapt its words into a Hollywood movie.
• Avril made her Hollywood debut with Bruce Wills in one of the biggest hits of 2006, the animated wonder Over the Hedge.
• She got married to Paris Hilton’s former beau, punk band Slum 41’s front man Deryck Whibley.
• Avril is a regular on a number of the world’s sexiest woman list ~ including Maxim magazine’s Girls Of Maxim gallery and People magazine’s coveted 50 Most Beautiful People list.
• Avril Lavigne’s single ‘GIRLFRIEND’ has been recorded by Avril in language like Mandarin, Japanese, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese as well, and each version is released in the respected country.

She's my daughters age and you know she was played loudly in that room.
