Facts about Crown Princess Victoria
Victoria Ingrid Alice Desiree is the daughter of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Siliva. She is actually the eldest among the children. She also belongs to the Royal House of Bernadotte, the present Royal House of the Kingdom of Sweden. She is currently the heiress-apparent, meaning she cannot be displaced from inheriting the throne or whatever it is that she is entitled of, to the Swedish throne. She will be the fourth queen regnant of Sweden if she will do as expected which is ascend the throne.
Crown Princess Victoria was born in Stockholm, and she had her early education there, too. During her elementary years, she studied in Enskilda Gymnasiet and graduated in 1996. She then continued studying but only for a year at the Universite Catholique de l’Ouest at Angers, France. It was only for a year because in the fall term of 1997, she attended a special program that follows after the work of the Parliament of Sweden. She also studied in the United States for about two years and had a lot of different subjects in Yale University, one of the most prestigious universities in the world.
As for her status, she has become crown princess and heir apparent on the first of January in 1980 by the change that was amended in 1979 in the Act of Succession of 1810. The change stated that the Swedish throne will be inherited by the eldest child of the monarch regardless of the gender. Because of this Crown Princess Victoria is actually the first female in the line of succession as she is the first heiress apparent the throne of Sweden.
When she turned 18, she was allowed by the law to act as the head of state when her father is not around. This happened at the Palace of Stockholm on July 14 1995, and Crown Princess Victoria had her first public speech during the event.
Of course even as a princess, Victoria is still a human being, just like all of us; and thus, she still has ordinary events in her life but constantly hounded by the paparazzi. One of these aspects is her love life. There have actually been reports of her being linked to different men but only two of them were confirmed as her boyfriends. The first was Daniel Collert whom she has probably met because they were in the same social circle and the same school. The second boyfriend that Victoria had was Daniel Westling who was Victoria’s personal trainer at Master Training.
