Mark Gordon Brown happens to be out of town,
Now's my chance to write this Ode down.
I thought he carried a shot gun over his shoulder,
Now I see it's a guitar and I feel much bolder.

Mark's the Man

Mark has a manner which I truly respect.
In fact I would sooner crawl under my desk
Than cross swords with Mark but if it's a draw
We'll shoot it out, me with my gun and his guitar.

I have learned that Mark has a hobby farm,
And he confided that he is going to Canada.
I would like to offer my heart-felt services,
So may I offer one or two more verses.

Alpacas - A Glorious Creature!

Mark moderates with skill, consideration and ease,
And I would do the same when I manage his farm.
All I ask is that he adds my favorite creatures,
How about half a dozen or even more, Alpacas.

Mark reminds me of an aloof but loving Alpaca.
They are proud and have a special knowledge.
I'd be so delighted to travel to Canada,
Give me a chance, Mark, and let's get Alpacas.

A fitting tribute to Mark, Ivy, and you hit the mark, so to speak. But I wonder, are there alpacas in Canada? Oh, yeah, one of Mark's articles say so on his farm. I heard and see about how alpacas are so related to camels that a cross has successfully been done between them and the result was a first living "Cama." Having that hybrid on his farm might get Mark to postpone his upcoming vacation this coming July. Great tribute, Ivy dear.

(PS. Sorry, Peter, you incurred my shallow pique when you denied my sister of her due, a star page for her hard work on her latest article, not really shallow, if you think about it, as my pique was legit for, giving her a star, you would have helped Wikinut peak traffic.)

This is the first thing I saw when I got up this morning.

Alas I am still here, my holiday is not until July. I wish it were sooner, I am ready to go!

I am actually from Michigan, but moved to Alberta, Canada 7 years ago after meeting my wife.

Yup, we have had an Alpaca, but now have llamas. alpacas are indeed cute critters

Thanks a whole bunch for the tribute.

I got confused between llamas and alpacas, maybe one of them that was induced to mate with a camel to produce the cama (go google it).

I'm such a donkey for the confusion.
