The Real Housewife's book has created a storm of controversy.

Non-Fiction or Novel?

Despite largely terrible reviews on Amazon.com, Taylor Armstrong's book Hiding From Reality: My Story of Love, Loss, and Finding the Courage Within still somehow made it onto the New York Times Bestseller List. But people all over the world are still finding holes in Armstrong's story, and wondering why on earth someone might not be completely truthful about a topic as serious as domestic violence while professing their desire to help others caught in a similar situation.

Commentators on web forums have questioned, too, what good a book does victims of spousal abuse which basically tells a story of staying for the money, when the message should be that a woman and her child's safety are more important than maintaining a posh standard of living.

While Taylor's PR firm has bots tweeting "happy thoughts" on Twitter, truthseekers tweet their own opposing opinions in an ongoing Twitter War, with Armstrong blocking more people than she follows. Stories that seem to lend Armstrong support are "leaked" to online goss rag RadarOnline, but where do they come from? Is it possible they come from Taylor herself? She has been known to, after all, post in defense of herself on blogs.

Whether you believe her story or not, just sitting back to watch the spin is entertainment in itself.
