Sohini Mishra had been eliminated.
Singer Sohini Mishra had been eliminated out of Indian Idol 6 Program. It is very sad. She learned classical singing. The worst part was that friday's round was dedicated to classical singing. That was the day when guest judge Pandit Jasraj came as a guest judge. She was eliminated on that day's performance only. For example, Poorvi Koutish was excellent in western singing. But Sohini Mishra was also good in eastern classical singing. She did not dress in a flashy way. That had nothing to do with performance.
Indian Idol is more related to showmanship.
From the way the public are voting that heardly listen to the songs. They are more interested about the showmanship of the performers. In the list of the contestants Devender Singh and Sohini Mishra are the most down to earth performers. They are simple also. They only had delivered the musical excellence and classical training that they had taken till now. Indian Idol 6 should rationalize the voting process. Otherwise the people are losing faith in the voting process. The judges are great. But the people are voting in a wayward manner.

Many a times public goes against talented artists as you say people are more interested in entertainment than the talent and genunie artists seldom vote! Thanks for nice article dear Saurav!

I wish we were able to get all the idol shows around the world on my TV, I think it would be great. Our last season was okay but, it lacked a bit in talent, over all. Nice review. Thank you for sharing.:)
