One of the most contemptible angles in the history of wrestling took place in late 2002 under the WWE banner: Katie Vick.
It started after the main event of RAW on October 7th 2002, a TLC match for the WWE tag team titles: Kane and Hurricane vs. The Dudley Boyz vs. The Extra Biscuits Connection vs. Christian and Chris Jericho, which Kane and the Hurricane won. Interrupting the celebration was Triple H, who accused Kane of murdering a woman called Katie Vick 10 years ago.
Bad as this was, it got worse. Much, much worse.
The following week (October 14th), Kane went on Raw to deny Triple H’s accusation, stating that Katie Vick died in a car accident. Kane was driving a car back home from a party, and his passenger was Katie Vick. The car was run off the road when Kane swerved it to avoid running over an animal.
Triple H then came out to make a second accusation: that Kane was drunk behind the wheel and had sex with Katie Vick after she died. A necrophilia angle. Incredibly, still worse was to come!
On the October 21st Raw, Triple H stated he had videotaped evidence that Kane had sex with Katie Vick after she died. The video aired later on the show, with Triple H dressed as Kane in a chapel. A coffin in the chapel contained a manikin that was supposed to be Katie Vick.
“Kane” undressed Katie Vick, undressed himself, and proceeded to “f*ck her brains out.”
The story mercifully wrapped up on the October 28th Raw with Kane defeating Triple H in a Casket match.
This was a publicity stunt by the McMahon’s, and one so blatant that the media didn’t indulge them. So the whole thing ended up being an exercise in futility and exceptionally poor taste (even by WWE’s standards).

This was one of the worst angles ever run by Vince. My other favourite bad angles include Sexual Chocolate Mark Henry impregnating pensioner Mae Young who gave birth to a plastic hand! wtf?? Also the Vince & Shane Vs HBK and God where God walked out on HBK during the tag match was awful. Also heard rumours couple of years back that he was trying to figure out how to run an incest angle!
