12 Finalists Revealed on "The Voice"

Recap of the one hour special on "The Voice" and who made it to the top 12 finalists.

12 Finalists Revealed

After Adam and Gwen's teams performed on Monday night, Blake and Pharrell's teams took the stage on Tuesday for a performance; each singer hoping that they would be the one to make it to the 12 finalists on their way to becoming “The Voice”.

As in season's past, any artist who had their song in the top 10 of one of the iTunes singles charts at the end of the voting period had their votes were multiplied by 10. When “The Voice” took to the air on Wednesday night to reveal the singers who would make up the 12 finalists... Jordan Smith, Ellie Lawrence, Emily Ann Roberts, Barrett Baber, Zach Seabaugh, Darius Scott, Mark Hood, Viktor Kiraly, Blaine Mitchell, and Keith Semple all still had their song listed in the top 10 of one of iTunes singles charts with one singer having his song in the top five of the overal iTunes singles chart. Songs downloaded even after the voting window has closed still counts toward the overall count for downloads and votes at the end of the season.

Before any results are revealed the singers from team Gwen take the stage for a performance of “Ooo Child”.

The two singers from each team who had the most votes will move on to the finals. The coach will then save one of the remainng four singers as the teams are cut in half.

In the first results, team Gwen are the first to learn their fate. The first singer moving on to the finals is Jeffrey Austin! Joining him from the fan votes is Braiden Sunshine. From Ellie Lawrence, Regina Love, Korin Bukowski, and Viktor Kiraly; Gwen said following her heart she chose Korin Bukowski to fill out her team.

After winning “The Voice” last season and giving Pharrell his first win as a coach, Sawyer Fredericks returns to the stage to debut his new single and EP with a performance of “Take it All”.

Team Blake – Morgan, Ivonne, Nadjah, Emily Ann, Barrett, and Zach - takes the stage for a performance before learning which of them will move on to the next round.

The first singer moving on from team Blake is Barrett Baber. Joining him from the fan votes is Zach “Elvis” Seabaugh. Saying that after eight times, it never gets easier, Blake chose Emily Ann Roberts.

The members of team Pharrell – Celeste, Madi, Riley, Mark, Darius, and Even - came together for the first time to perform the REM hit “Everybody Hurts”.

The first singer with enough fan votes to move on from team Pharrel is Madi Davis. Evan McKeel is “Overjoyed” to be joining his team mate Madi in the finals. Saying that it is tough, Pharrell said he was going out on a limb and sticking with Mark Hood to fill out his team.

And finally it was time for team Adam – Shelby, Amy, Chance, Jordan, Blaine, and Keith – to take the stage for a performance of “Diamonds”.

In the final results of the night, the first singer from team Adam moving on to the finals is Jordan Smith – whose song “Halo” still sits in the top 10 of the iTunes overall singles chart. Voters also moved Shalby Brown on to the next round. Saying that he doesn't like it and wants to send himself home, Adam chose to go with his gut and saved Amy Vachal.

The live performances for fan votes begin next week.
