Albert Pujols is a professional baseball player. He was born on Jan 16th, 1980 in Dominican Republic. His family immigrated to the United States of America in the year 1996. He displayed his baseball skills during his student years by batting over (.500) in his first season at his high school. He got US citizenship in the year 2007.

Albert Pujols married Deidre in the year 2000. They are a happy family with four children. The couple work for the betterment of people affected by Down's Syndrome through the Pujols Family Foundation, as one of their daughters was born with this medical condition. Albert Pujols has business interest in Patrick's Restaurant in Maryland Heights, Missouri. The couple are devout Christians and they attend a Baptist Church regularly.

Albert Pujols says, "My life's goal is to bring glory to Jesus. My life is not mostly dedicated to the Lord, it is 100% committed to Jesus Christ and His will. God has given me the ability to succeed in the game of baseball. But baseball is not the end; baseball is the means by which my wife, Dee Dee, and I glorify God. Baseball is simply my platform to elevate Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior".

Albert Pujols plays for the St. Louis Cardinals, a professional baseball team based in St. Louis, Missouri. He is regarded as one of the top players in the Major League Baseball. He is the most feared hitter according to a survey conducted in the year 2008. This formidable genius, who stands 1.91 meters tall and weighs 230 pounds, strikes terror in the hearts of the opposition. His batting average at the end of the 2010 season was (.331).

This baseball great has won many awards like the National League Rookie of the Year Award (2001), the National League Most Valuable Player Award (thrice) and the National League Hank Aaron Award (twice). He has been an All Star nine times. This right handed player was named as the greatest player of the decade (2000 - 2009) by ESPN.com.

Albert Pujols inspires baseball aspirants and entertains baseball fans all over the world. He has won over the hearts of many people by his contribution to the game and the society and by his approach to his profession. He is a good role model for sports persons all over the world.
