Amitabh Bachchan may be a big star in India by virtue of his great acting abilities. The truth is - He is revered like God!

Is Amitabh truly worthy of being worshipped like God?

Film stars in India are treated as very special people. But if you do know your art well and somehow make hit films then you are super special. You are on the magazine covers. In many areas in the south of India, film stars cut outs as big as a 6 storey house are a common sight. There are some temples also dedicated in the name of stars.
Amitabh Bachchan a tall, lanky hero of about 125 films out of which about 105 films are super duper hits is also an idol for all. His fans span for three generations. It is not uncommon to find an 8 year old ‘s favourite filmstar being none other than the great Amitabh. The surprise element here is that her grandmotrher’s favorite is also Amitabh for the past 35 years. Manasvi Vyas a television actor who plays the role of a character called Sona in " Phulwa" on Colors channel is a steadfast fan of Mr Bachchan.
But so are many other actors. So what's the big deal? But evidently, Mansavi's idol worship goes a step ahead. For the pretty television actoress almost worships Big B, calling him her god. Manasvi feels Amitabh is a complete package - a good hearted person, a fabulous actor and last but not the least a very down to earth super star. "He is just an ideal guy for every girl, he doesn't drink and he is always high on his passion for work.
People in Kolkata consider the Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan as 'God' and they have even established temple in south Kolkata. When Amitabh Bachchan was hospitalised in 2008, after a film shoot incident, the fans performed a 'yagna' (holy fire ritual) for his good health at the famous Kalighat temple. Kolkatans consider Bachchan their son-in-law (Jamai) because the actor is married to Bengali actress Jaya Bachchan who started her career in the Bengali film industry in the 1960s.
“No one is perfect but I do feel that after Amitabh Bachchan leaves this mortal world there will be more stories of his miracles about his goodness and soon there will be temples all over India and abroad and Indians praying with folded hands to cast some magic spell on them for their success, if not as much as their hero but enough to live gracefully. It be not be out of place here to mention that Mr Bachchan is popular and famous for his sheer hard work, dedication and his great acting abilities. "There is no one as perfect as Amitabhji," smiles Manasvi, talking about her idol, all of whose films she has seen and can watch over and over again. Her co-stars on the sets keep reminding her she should sing the song "Tuj Mein Rab diktha Hai Yaara mein Kya Karu" for her Amitji. The song means that “I can see God in you my dear so what should I do”. All over India it appears that the same song for Amitji is echoing. Meanwhile Mr Amitabh Bachchan is still acting in movies and running to the bank with money. Almighty God! spare me!

People of India see god in every creature.
When most of them consider someone as god, in public, its because of their humanity.

Humanity is godliness. A great human is considered to be a god.
