Gary Sinise has long been one of my favorite actors.

Gary Alan Sinise born on March 17, 1955, in Blue Island, Illinois,
His success as a brilliant actor speaks for itself.

Gary Sinise, humanitarian

Other than acting, Gary Sinise has lent his services to worthy causes. He narrated the biography for Navy SEAL and Medal of Honor recipient Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael A. Monsoor.

He received a medal for humanitarian contributions to Iraqi schoolchildren and for his involvement in the USO.

Sinise is also the executive producer of Brothers at War, an award winning documentary about an American military family and the Iraq war. He also narrated the When We Left Earth series in 2008.

Sinise also narrated the Army and Army Reserve Army Strong recruitment ads in late 2008.

Gary Sinise, musician

On the show, CSI: NY, Gary Sinise has even showed off his musical talent. He plays bass in his band called the Lt. Dan Band. The Lt. Dan Band performs for charities, for the USO, and for Operation Iraqi Children, which Gary Sinise founded.

The band also frequently visit military bases in the United States and abroad.

Gary Sinise has narrated several war documentaries honoring the troops and their families.

He also served as Grand Marshall for the Memorial Day Parade in Washington DC, as well as co-narrating the National Memorial Day Concert on the Mall in Washington, D.C. with actor Joe Mantegna, of Criminal Minds' fame.

Sinise currently serves as the National Spokesperson for the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial. He spends much of his time raising awareness for the Memorial and other veterans' service organizations.

Gary Sinise also narrated the highly acclaimed World War II in HD, in November of 2009.
