There's a death metal band whose lead singer is a parrot. No joke.

Hatebeak is the only band to have an "avian" vocalist in the world. It is comprised by three members which are Blake Harrison, Mark Sloan, and Waldo, a 21-year-old Congo African Grey Parrot. Blake Harrison serves as the band drummer, Mark sloan for guitar and bass and of course Waldo the parrot on vocal. He is promoted as the only avian vocalist in music today.

The band members avoid using their last name on their releases supposedly "for the mystery". To avoid torturing Waldo and maybe even to evade PETA's wrath, the band doesn't tour. The band is strictly a studio project and only compose music in a studio with unintelligible lyrics and no melody. They are currently signed to Retilian Record.

As a result, their music had been described as "a jackhammer being ground in a compactor." while the
Aquarius Records magazine called Hatebeak “furious and blasting death metal.”. On 2005, Hatebeak made
their second record with another band called Caninus, a band whose lead singer are two dogs. Hatebeak's
main goal is to "raise the bar for extreme music"

Some of their known album are Beak of Putrefaction, Bird Seeds of Vengeance and The Thing That Should Not Beak.
