It was the the Butler that done it

I love a good mystery drama on TV. I watch all the old Agatha Christie's Miss Marple and Poirot mysteries, and you cannot beat a good old Sherlock Holmes story.

“Go right in and make yourself comfortable” she said

I remember reading them all as a child and I am now reliving them all over again, I hardly ever watch them live, I record them and then when I am on my own I indulge myself with a bag of chips, my feet up on the sofa and spend an hour or two with Doctor Watson and Inspector Lestrade

"I poured myself a whiskey, turning round I saw the gun pointing right between my eyes"

How about you, do you have any particular type of TV show or reading material that you enjoy more than any other?
It seems ages since I saw a good Philip Marlowe or Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer film, these are also on my list of all-time favourites

"So long sucker, and she was gone"

I know we should never dwell on the past, but up to now I am yet to see or read anything as good as those old mystery drama's

How could you NOT get hooked with lines like

" With arms outstretched she walked toward me. Lightly, her tongue ran over her lips, making them glisten with passion"

Sometimes the glass of Sherrie and a whiskey for Johnny pays the price as they all try hard to solve the tale of who dun it. The Lady says the Angel did it.

Next time do me a favour, ask me to my face rather than snooping and trolling my private messages.Know the lot of you well and adorned the disguise and left leaving a fake lying on the floor dead.
I am REAL, no need for a private dick head!!!!

Sherlock holmes is one of my favorites since childhood. And what was the reason behind Mr. Johnnydod's absence from Wikinut for so many days, my Dear Watson?

Sherlock Holmes caught my fancy as a child as did Shakespeare though I could not understand the latter much. Good to see you again Johnnydod with an uplifting post - siva

I enjoy classic movies, especially the "whodunits". Have only rarely guessed who the culprit was, but I guess it is okay to blame the butler, even if there isn't one. Alfred Hitchcock movies are among my favourites.
