Live Playoffs part 2

Last night on “The Voice” Adam and Gwen's teams performed for fan votes but half of them will be eliminated on the special Wednesday results show.

Tonight Blake and Pharrell's teams will take the stage to perform for the coaches...and the fans.

Team Pharrell gets the night of music started off with Darius Scott and his own arrangement of the Kanye West hit “Love Lockdown” and had the house on their feet. Saying that music lives inside of Darius, Gwen called the performance incredible. Adam loved the song choice; saying that Darius has a crazy ability to maneuver through a vocal. Admiting that he doesn't know the song, Blake said that whatever version it is, that is the version he is going to buy tonight. Blake noted that he feels Darius is the one team Pharrell member they are all going to have to look out for. Calling it a great arrangement, Pharrell said that he thought everyone should stand up for Darius again.

Team Blake's high school singer Ivonne Acero sang the Joan Osbourne hit “One of Us” and brought her Dad to tears. Pharrell said that it blows her mind to hear Ivonne perform such big notes; adding that Ivonne made her Mom proud tonight. Gwen was impressed with Ivonne's confidence; adding that she was drawn in by Ivonne's strong and pwerful voice. Adam said that Invonne's voice is amazing; adding that she is phenomenal and getting better. Blake noted that Ivonne is a perfect example of what makes the show cool; adding that she is no longer a shy singer.

Blake stole back Morgan Frazier from Pharrell and tonight she sang “Lips of an Angel”. Pharrell said that it is awesome to see how far Morgan has come. Gwen loved everything about Morgan. Blake said that Morgan is already like a Country music standard.

During the blind auditions Pharrell asked Evan McKeel to sing a little of his favourtie Stevie Wonder song - “Overjoyed”. Tonight he performs the whole thing. The coaches agreed that Evan's performance was perfect; and while Gwen and Blake questioned some of the stage movements, Pharrell said that he felt Evan's movements were “super geniune”.

Madi Davis from team Pharrell performed the Fleetwood Mac song “Songbird”. Adam noted that Madi has a whole vibe and vision of what she wants to do; adding that Madi did a great job. Blake thought Madi had great transition between her voice and falsetto. Pharrel called Madi talented beyoond her 16 years.

After losing her in the knockout rounds, Pharrell chose Celeste Betton as his come back artist. Celeste chose the Carrie Underwood song “Something in the Water” for her performance. Host Carson Daly said that Celeste sang like she didn't want to ever leave the building again. Saying it was a great song choice, Gwen called Celeste amazing. Pharrell said the performance was all you could ask for.

Team Blake's Country boy Zach Seabaugh channeled his inner Elvis for a performance of “Brand New Girlfriend” and brought down the house. Carson told Zach that he did a nice and...and what a way to gyrate the pelvis. Calling it one of his favourites so far, Adam said that Zach did very well. Blake said that he would officially like to stop the Superman talk and start the Elvis talk; adding that he thought Zach just bought himself a ticket to the live performances.

Riley Biederer sang the Tori Kelly song “Should've Been Us” and brought the house to their feet. Gwen said that it was her favourite part when Riley belted out the notes. Asking the crowd to make some noice, coach Pharrell loved it when Riley hit the high notes with confidence; adding it was what she was meant to do.

Blake chose Nadjah Nicole as his come back artist. Nadjah sang the Diana Ross hit “Upside Down”. Saying that she sounded beautiful, Adam was happy to see Nadjah return; adding that he thoroughly enjoyed himself. Blake said that Nadjah was so much fun to watch and sounded so good.

Team Blake's Emily Ann Roberts chose her grandfather's favourite song – the gospel song “In the Garden” - for her performance. Gwen called Emily Ann her favourite singer on Blake's team; adding that Emily Ann was so pure and honest. Adam called Emily Ann amazing and unbelievable. Saying Emily Ann had the voice of an angel, Blake noted that she laid herself out on the stage.

Team Pharrell's Mark Hood took on Justin Bieber with “What Do You Mean” to rousing cheers from the house. Calling him one of her favourites, Gwen said that Mark had so much personality and talent. Adam simply called Mark amazing and awesome. Blake said that Mark sounded amazing and did a gret job. Both guys remarked on how they could not see for all of the lights. Pharrell agreed calling the performance amazing.

In the final performance of the night team Blake's Barrett Baber sang the Lee Brice hit “I Drive Your Truck” in an emotional performance that brought the house to their feet. Gwen noted that Barrett gives so much emotion every time he performs; adding that it was very powerful. Agreeing that it was a powerful performance, Adam said that Barrett sings with belief and passion. An amazed Blake said that the only artist he has ever seen give as much as Barrett does is Garth Brooks.

While there were no artists in the overall top 10 iTunes chart after the east coast broadcast, there were five artists who charted in the top 10 on the genre charts.

On Wednesday, the top 12 will be revealed when the fan votes are announced and the coaches will choose one of the remaining artists to fill out the three finalists for each team.
