Top 10

“The Voice” has reached the top 10 with the singers hoping to make it to the semi finals. There are only a few more episodes remaining before the end of season nine and the crowning of a new winner.

Donned in formal attire, team Gwen's Jeffrey Austin gets the night of music started with a performance of “Jealous”. Adam said that he was transported from the show with that beautiful performance; adding that Jeffrey continues to impress and has a bright future. Calling it an amazing song, Blake said that it is exciting when the right artist meets the right song; adding that he too was caught up in the performance. Admitting that he was not familiar with the song, Pharrell said that he could feel the honesty in Jeffrey's performance; adding that the song showed people who Jeffrey really is. Gwen didn't want the song to end; adding that it was the perfect song for him and could be the osng he records.

Blake gave each of his team members a guitar. After her performance last week Emily Ann Roberts received a phone call from Wynnona Judd. This week Emily Ann took on Country music legend Patsy Cline with “She's Got You”. Host Carson Daly noted that they had gotten off to a rip roaring start. Saying that she did a fantastic job, Pharrell said that it was unbelievable that Emily Ann is only 17 and sings with such an old soul; adding that the song sounded like it came from someone 20 or 30 years ago. Saying that it was amazing, Adam called Emily Ann a phenomenal singer. A very happy and smiling coach Blake said that he has never had a better collaborator than Emily Ann Roberts; adding that it was her best performance.

The youngest member of the competition and team Gwen's Braiden Sunshine sports a new hair cut when he performed the Imagine Dragons hit “Radioactive”. Noting that Braiden really goes for it, Adam said that he loved what Braiden does. Saying that Braiden did a great job, Blake said that Braiden feels like an 80s throwback. Reminding fans that Braiden is only 15, Gwen said that Braiden was so punk rock tonight, relaxed, and such a pro.

Last week Adam promised his Country singer Shelby Brown a giraffe if she did a really good job. This week he gave her a stuffed giraffe. Shelby chose a song that was very close to her heart with “Go Rest High on that Mountain” by Vince Gil – a son that was performed at her Grandpa's memorial service. Pharrell called it her best performance; adding that he felt Shelby was connected to the intention of the person who wrote the song. Coach Adam noted that Shelby has always been a singer with potential and he has just been trying to get Shelby out of her own way over the past few months; adding that Shelby gets better every week.

The instant save for the pat two weeks Korin Bukowski from team Gwen performed the Selena Gomez song “Same Old Love”. After giving a shout out to the band, Pharrell called it her moment; adding that Korin's confidence continues to climb. Gwen said that she couldn't believe Korin did that; adding Korin took it to a new level.

Team Adam's Amy Vachal took one of the biggest pop hits of 2000 and put her own Jazzy spin on it when she sang “Bye Bye Bye” by N'
Sync. Host Carson Daly noted that he has introduced the song a million times; but never like this. Gwen was fantasizing about what kind of tour Amy would have. Adam noted that they have finally figured out how to maximize Amy's capacity for performing a song; adding it was a really good display of her artistry.

Continuing his format of religious themed songs, team Adam's Jordan Smith performed the Leonard Cohen hit “Hallelujah” to rousing applause and cheers. Carson noted that it felt like the finals tonight. Blake said that every time Jordan takes the stage, he is incredible. Pharrell said that there wasn't much he could do to complement Jordan on what he did and be able to remark on what he did; adding the performance was effortless. Saying that he gets chills listening to Jordan, coach Adam said that it is important what Jordan does because he lifts people; calling the performances an experience.

After a video clip with British pop star Ellie Goulding announcing that she would perform on “The Voice” stage next week, the competition took a break while coach Gwen Stefani performed her new single “Used to Love You”.

Team Blake's teen heartthrob Zach Seabaugh took on the legendary Freddie Mercury and Queen with his Countrified rendition of “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” and brought the house down. Adam said that Zach did an awesome job. Noting that they are used to hearing applause, Blake said that he didn't think he had ever heard the likes of the screaming from the girls that they have heard this season for Zach. Blake said that it was Zach's best performance; adding that he was oing out on a limb to say that he would see Zach in the finals. Blake held his finger up pointing saying that he was pointing to the top 10 of the iTunes chart.

Pharrell's only remaining singer Madi Davis gave a laid back Jazzy rendition of Cyndi Lauper's “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” that opened with a soprano saxophone. Adam said that it was amazing to see how far everybody has come this season; adding that it was a weird, cool, and awesome version of the song. Gwen said that it blows her mind to kow that Madi is only 16; adding that she can't wait to see what kind of songs Madi will write. Blake said that he was about to go on iTunes and buy the song. Pharrell agreed telling everyone to go to iTunes and buy the song.

Team Blake's Barett Baber finished out the night of music with a stripped down performance of “I'd Just Love to Lay You Down” by Conway Twitty with Barrett sitting on a stool playing his guitar. Adam said that it was his favourite performance from Barrett; adding it was where Barrett belonged. Adam called the performance genuine and real. Blake said that he never heard Barrett sing any better; adding that it was Barrett's best performance.

Tuesday one more singer will be eliminated and the instant save returns.

While none of the artists have made it to the overall iTunes top 10 chart after the east coast broadcast, four of the singers have reached the top 10 on various genre charts. Any singer who has a song in the top 10 of an iTunes singles chart at the cloe of voting has their total votes multiplied by 10.
