Thanks AKR for a good take. Looking forward to more. You are indeed a connoisseur of all arts. Sadly, actresses in present-day movies do not get meaty roles to display their talents. Most not have proper traditional dance sense but still pass off as the real deal! Taken as a whole, I feel we have lost it when we stray away from basics like in real day life! - siva

Dear AK Raoji,
The article was very well written. It would have been complete with the name of few more gorgious actresses of their era.
1. Suchitra Sen - She acted opposite Dilip Kumar in Devdas, 1955, Dev Anand in Bombai Ka Babu, 1960, Sanjeev Kumar in Aandhi 1976.
2) Wahida Rehman. She was very impressive opposite Guru Dutt in Pyaasa, Kagaz Ka Phool.
3) Nanda. She was excellent in Bhabhi, Choti Behen, Hum Dono, Bedaag.
Warm regards,
Souvik Chatterji
