He wants to prove he's the best, but his car is letting him down, so will Lewis Hamilton change to Red Bull?

Will Lewis Hamilton stay with Mac Laren?

Ever since he was a little boy, Lewis Hamilton wanted to be a formula one driver. He proved at a very young age, to be an exceptionally fast go karter. He was so ambitious that, at the tender age of 11, he even asked Ron Dennis of MacLaren, if he could race for him one day, assuring him he would be a world champion if he got the chance.

Ron Dennis found something very special about this earnest young boy, even at 11 years old, he was incredibly focused, so it was no great surprise to him that Lewis fulfilled his promise to him to be world champion in 2008. He was the youngest ever at only 22 years old.

But what has happened since?

But during the last 3 years, Lewis has been struggling with a car, that just isn't fast enought to match his rivals in the Red Bull. Maclaren admit they need to make improvements, and upgrades, but nothing seems to work.

The team strategy has let him down on a number of occasions this year. The pit stops are not fast enough, tyre choices are not always right, and last Sunday, to add insult to injury, his car was not fuelled with enough petrol, so he was told to slow down towards the end of the race which gave him no opportunity to challenge Alonso and Webber. To tell a racing driver to slow down is the most ludicrous suggestion ever, and once more they badly let him down

The Result was

Lewis came 4th that day, but until the petrol situation, his pace was good, and he probably could have made the podium. How sweet that would have been in his own country at Silverstone, where the fans give so much support. Prince Harry was there to present trophies, and in the early stages, when interviewed, he did say he was routing for Lewis.
Lewis is incredibly loyal, his close relationship with Mac Laren has endured for years, but he has said that he wants to win 3 championships during his career. But how long will it be, if ever, before Mac Laren can produce a car as fast as Red Bull?

Lewis is a very determined driver, with enthusiasm, grit, and a huge talent. At this moment in time, only Adrian Newey seems to be able to produce a very fast car, so his drivers go off into the sunset, with no-one able to challenge them. How much more exciting it would be if it was not about the car being the best, but the driver being the best.

GOOD LUCK LEWIS, I DO HOPE MACLAREN CAN SOON DELIVER WHAT YOU DESERVE!

Carol, Dan was a mechanic for 20 odd years and then has been selling cars for 20 years, he is all into cars, big time. There is not a week that goes by that, we don't have a race (or two) on our TV. When I met Dan, to seal our deal, we both had to watch each others sports that we followed. He had to watch a baseball game for me and I had to watch the Daytona 500 with him. I had a blast and became a fan and Dan had a blast at the baseball game, so we knew we were a match. The test has not disappointed. LOL
Lordy, to tell Lewis to slow down would be like telling a baseball player not to swing at any balls, so it doesn't hurt the bat. Carol, no one covers the racers like you do. Great work! Congrats on the star page my friend. It is truly desering. Thank you for sharing.:)

On a side note...
Dan and I get our grandson Tristan today, so I must go take a bath and get ready for a glorious day. Being grandparents sure does rock, as you know. Have a wonderful day my friend.:)

Denise I love to read your comments. I get whhat you mean about sharing interests like that. I share formula one and Lewis with Keith, and he shares Gareth and his music with me. We are both more knowledgeable about them because of it. Enjoy your day with Tristan!
